As of September 2023, the latest Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement will take effect on August 29, 2023. The original text of Section 8.3 of the Google Developer Distribution Agreement is as follows
8.3 Google has no obligation to monitor the Products or their content. If Google knows and determines in its sole discretion that a product or any part thereof (a) violates any applicable law; (b) violates this Agreement, applicable policies or other terms of service (as Google may update from time to time); (c) violates distribution agreements with device manufacturers and authorized providers; or (d) result in potential legal liability or adverse impact on Google or authorized providers (e.g., financial, reputational, or safety consequences of a product) Google may reject a product from Google Play or on a device, remove the product, suspend the product, limit the product’s visibility on Google Play, or recategorize the product. Google reserves the right to suspend and/or ban any Product and/or Developer from Google Play or Devices as set forth in this Section. If your product contains elements that could seriously harm a user’s device or data, Google reserves the right to disable the product or remove it from installed devices. Google may withhold developer payments if your product is rejected, removed, or suspended from Google Play or on a device as a result of this section (Section 8.3).
